Founded in 1993, MAN Commercial Protection was born with a plan to create a customer-focused, people-centric service to enhance businesses. Our CEO Iain McCallister is the last remaining member of the original founders, after whom MAN was named – McCallister, Atkins and Neighbour.
We are a family-run business that has operated for over 32 years within the Security Industry. At MAN Commercial, our company strategy has been rooted on a basic principle: success in business is achieved through the consistent delivery of quality, value and top service to clients. Coupled with our philosophy, that our people are at the heart of everything we do.
Due to the variety of work we undertake, we are skilled specialists in all areas of security guarding, meaning we are familiar with a diverse range of markets and business sectors across the UK. Services provided include: event security, CCTV monitoring, concierge and reception services, keyholding and alarm response, systems solutions and all aspects of physical security guarding.
Over the past years, MAN Commercial has achieved record-breaking success, increasing our turnover to £64 million through 100% organic growth. We have been recognised within the security industry for our exemplary service, having won Security Company of the Year at the British Security Industry Awards, along with awards for Customer Experience, Security Team of the Year, and Excellence in Training and Development.

MAN Commercial Protection was formed as a partnership by McCallister, Atkins and Neighbour. Initially located in Hall Green, Birmingham, with a focus on providing personal and venue security across the globe for high-profile artists including Ocean Colour Scene, The Rolling Stones, Oasis, The Who and UB40.
The company became the country's leading supplier of security to Professional Boxing and remains Frank Warren's Sports Network's contracted supplier. Providing cover for all of British Boxing's biggest names including Frank Bruno, Joe Calzaghe, Amir Khan, Ricky Hatton, Lennox Lewis, Chris Eubank and Prince Naseem Hamed.
MAN Commercial became a Private Limited Company. In 2005, expanded service provision to include static and mobile security officers, key holding and alarm response, and Public Space Surveillance (PSS) CCTV monitoring services.
The company moved to a modern suite of offices in Solihull, just 3 minutes from the national motorway network. Over the previous 8 years, MAN had outgrown its office 3 times due to rapid growth.
MAN Commercial Protection begins supplying Crowd Management staff for London Marathon Events. Each year taking on new areas across the event, with guarding levels increasing by 40% from 2022-2025.
MAN Commercial covers security for all Royal Events, including Queen Elizabeth II's Funeral and King Charles III's Coronation. Also launched the in-house MAN Commercial Training Academy.
Celebrated 30th anniversary. Turnover reached £64 million through 100% organic growth. Won Security Company of the Year at the British Security Industry Awards. CEO Iain McCallister won Company Leader of the Year 2025. Opened Highfield-certified Training Academy. Named Family Business of the Year 2025 and Solihull Business of the Year by Solihull Chamber of Commerce.
